Your furniture has stories to tell — and we help it tell them beautifully. Expert reupholstery, restoration, and repair that turns worn-out pieces into room-changing showstoppers.
Hartay Upholstery has been Marion's trusted destination for furniture restoration and reupholstery since 2009. What started as a one-person passion project in a garage has grown into the go-to shop for homeowners, interior designers, and antique collectors across central Ohio.
We believe every piece of furniture deserves a second act. Whether it's a thrift-store find waiting for its moment, a family heirloom that's seen better days, or a brand-new piece that needs custom fabric — we bring the same care, attention, and craftsmanship to every job.
From a single dining chair to a full living room overhaul, we handle it all with the skill and patience your furniture deserves.
Complete fabric replacement for chairs, sofas, ottomans, and more. Choose from hundreds of fabrics — we'll help you find the perfect match for your space and lifestyle.
Wobbly legs, broken springs, sagging seats — we diagnose and fix the hidden problems that make furniture unusable. Solid wood frames rebuilt to last another generation.
Keep your family's heirlooms in the family. We specialize in restoring antique and vintage furniture with historically appropriate techniques and materials.
Seats, headliners, boat covers, and more. From classic car interiors to marine upholstery, we work with materials built for the road and the water.
Dining rooms, offices, restaurants, hotels — we handle single pieces and bulk orders with the same dedication. Commercial projects welcome.
Saggy cushions? Flat padding? We replace high-density foam and fiber to restore the comfort and shape your furniture originally had — and then some.
Every project is unique. Here's a glimpse of the pieces we've brought back to life.
We keep the process simple and transparent so you always know where your project stands.

We let our work do the talking — but these words from our neighbors mean a lot.
"I was about to throw out my grandmother's dining chairs. Hartay brought them back to life — they look incredible. I couldn't believe the difference fabric and padding can make."
"Professional, honest, and talented. They repaired the frame on our sofa and reupholstered it in a fabric I absolutely love. Worth every penny — and then some."
"As an interior designer, I send clients here constantly. The quality is consistent, the communication is great, and they always deliver on time. A true gem in Marion."
